Why not measure actual toxicity, directly ? eg a Microtox [Photobacterium
phosphoreum] type test (http://www.azurenv.com/mtox.htm ) ? Trying to
identify & quantify each component sounds like expanding the job to fill the
time - unless you need to win PhD's or publications for advancement.
