I accidentally sent this only to John, and not to the rest of the list (I
really wish that this list would follow other list's conventions by having
replies automatically go to the list and not directly to the person you are
responding to - it is really unnecessary at this point):
I believe that Philip Freeman, in his new book "The Galatian Language"
(Edward Mellen press, 2001, ISBN: 0773474803), states that there is some
evidence for Galatian still being spoken as late as the 6th century AD -
though I will need to check on this when I get home tonight.
