DUTIES: Provides technical support for research studying formation and persistence of harmful/noxious algal blooms and water quality problems in pond aquaculture systems, and resulting off-flavor in fish.  The incumbent performs a variety of technical duties in a laboratory, pond, or wetlab environment, including biochemical and physiological analyses of fish and algae.  Work will include field sample collection and processing, HPLC, GC, and cell isolation and identification.  Incumbent maintains records of experimental data and tabulates, analyzes, and summarizes data using personal computers and software packages.
