You are exemplifying reasons behind my resistance to Word. I have WP
installed and occasionally use it, but all my normal work is in PageMaker.
If I wasn't 98% retired I'd be using InDesign or Ventura.
Word has a place in document development and producing "typewriter-quality"
work. If you're interested in the appearance of the printed page (and if
you aren't why are you on this list?) use appropriate software.
