Ah... this is a bit of a guess, but I suspect that if the widths of all of
the cells add up exactly to the width of the table, then Netscape does
something silly with the width of the borders. Making the border go away
screws up this screwy math.
Yet another reason not to use tables for layout, boys and girls!
