Actually, the way you do it, that makes sense.
And like you, I highly dislike taking an old
model and polishing it up beyond recognition.

But the materials are not really the same.
Which makes me ask: how much sense does it make to
try to reproduce something so faithfully? I don't
mean to be confrontational - I'm just wondering
if you can change my mind! :-)
