Yes, that's what I was going to mention. As for the Drupsteen
designs, AFAIK, the Nederlandsche Bank had decided to introduce
new security features that were absent from the older Oxenaar
banknotes, so new designs had to be made, and Jaap Drupsteen won
the competition for them (though the Oxenaar 50 and 250 gulden
notes remained in circulation - both are masterpieces BTW).
