Hello John,
The back road from Naul was one of the original coach roads between Dublin
and Drogheda (then further north). It was an important and much used
road 150 years ago. It is still recommended as the 'most suitable cycle
road north' in tourist information abroad. In recent years it is being
used as an alternative route for morning and evening commuters. People
who wish to view Buzzards should also take this route.
Regards,
Joe
