On the basis of our conference organisation experience in Africa, I would
recommend the Accra International Conference Centre. Certainly Ghana has the
capacity and expertise to provide the necessary bandwidth.
In East Africa, I would recommend:
In Uganda: The International Conference Centre adjacent to the Nile Hotel in
In Kenya: The Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi has a
large Plenary Hall that can take up to 3,000 delegates, plus a range of
meeting rooms for 200-400 delegates each.
It would be good to hold such an event outside SA, because the IT community
there is already so well served with numerous other conferences, and holding
this event in West or East Africa could help boost Internet development in
PS AITEC would be very keen to bid for the management contract for this
event. We have offices with experienced event management teams in the
following countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South
