You could try eSQL from the cocoon project. Or you can use any of the XML DB
thingys available out there..
Else you could use a Schema as a guide to how you want to compose your XML
String, pick the result set.. read the schema into a tree and then compose
your XML String.. You need to do some additional thing. If you are planning
to integrate with DTD do let me know, I have written a DTD DOM Compiler
(First Cut) which gives you the DOM tree in the same XML DOM format.
Now for table you can make DTD
<!ELEMENT Account (Accno, AccName, AccBalance)>
<!ELEMENT AccNo PCDATA>
<!ELEMENT AccName (FName, MName, LName, GivenName*)>
// all the others are lets say simple types
The DTD compiler gives you something like
DTDDocument (implement org.w3c.document) -> DTDElement (implements
org.w3c.dom.Element) and so on..
Associate a Database Schema with a DTD
Read the DTD and then make the tree..
After that.. you just need to construct your XML string by reading from the
DTD the element name and then finding the element in the result set..
I hope you got my point..
