In that case you'd probably love Emacs...plaintext editing but with a
built-in XML parser, coloured tags and entity names, menus for
inserting markup and surrounding marked text with markup, changing
element names, removing markup, inserting entities etc etc. Why run
the risk of mistyping or misplacing your markup by hand-typing it?
Plus DTD editing, and an XSL IDE letting you develop and run XSL[T]
