Arguably the most intriguing typeface in Gurtler's wonderful
article in TM about newspaper fonts is Selene, by Simoncini.

It's very unorthodox, but Gurtler chose to include
it anyway (even though he excluded Melior, which
is supposed to be a newspaper font AFAIK).

The thing is, I've found *nothing* about
Selene anywhere else. Any pointers?
