I'm working my way towards converting my personal site to offer a
full XML version to compatible browsers, as a way of learning XML.
I'm using PHP to build my files.
I want to know if an XML document placed on a web server has to have,
or should preferably have, the ".xml" file extension.
The main reason I ask is that on one of the servers I'm working with,
only files with a ".phtml" or ".php3" file extension are parsed by
PHP, and as far as I know I don't have the ability to set my own
It would obviously be much simpler if I could create XML files with
the "traditional" file extensions.
Any help appreciated.
