All depends how you define a foundry - commercial, freeware, shareware,
custom jobs... I've got over 600 in my links database...
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/links/default.asp, of which about
180 have registered a 'Vendor ID' with us.

Does anyone know - or have a guesstimate - how many type foundries (that
is, suppliers of type faces) there are today? A few years ago, a
magazine (I think it was 'Publish') listed about 100 of them.
