I check the site, not in detail though- because i couldn't move beyond the
first page and the you can help section. I oppose in strongest terms the
link you established with the Famine in Ethiopia. I don't know your
intentions and i refrain from any hasty statements. But establishing a link to
the world vision site with a sensitive description and using the problem in the
part of my country to attract hits is a despicable act.
You and i know that World Vision is a multilateral organization serving a
variety of interests and infact it is not different from Care. But for some
reason you presented it as if it is there to help Ethiopia only. I urge you to
correct this immediately.
Also we Africans do not need sites that continually paint afropessimism.
Such pages are biquitously littered on the net. What we need is sites that
show to anybody who has the appetite to see that Africa is not all evil and
there are a lot of good things happening in Africa that worths internet
attention. In short, sites that not only remind us the killings, famines,
diseases, wars, draughts, etc., but those that also promote the good
and beautiful sides of Africa.
