I just got this from a friend at the old cholera lab in Dhaka:
-=-=-=-=-
if you have any adventuresome acquaintances who want to make a difference in
using IT for health research and interventions, we've got a job here at the
ICDDR,B. This is the description I sent to a friend.
The ICDDR,B has reopened its search for an Informations Administrator here
in Dhaka! The job is to manage the IT here at the Centre: the library,
publications, distance education startup from our training branch, and the
computer services. We need to expand our internet capability to the Matlab
and Chittagong Hills tracts, get upgraded training for our local computer
staff, write training modules on epidemic control, low birth weight,
infectious diseases, update and improve the website publications, and get
GRANTS! We have reasonably good local staff but need a
management/communications expert who can set the vision and financing for
these endeavors! As always, living in Bangladesh is a unique life
experience and has possibilities for real international health impact. see
our ½ cooked website at www.icddrb.org <http://www.icddrb.org> .
