If the root element of your XML file is 'xdoc' and your dtd called mydoc.dtd
is in the same folderput this at the head of the file

<!DOCTYPE xdoc SYSTEM "mydoc.dtd">
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="[address of style sheet]"?>
<xdoc>
....rest of XML file
