Nyiira on Uganda looks at feedback from pilot rural telecentres in Buwama,
Nabweru and Nakaseke towns that indicate perceptions of local ownership and
long-term sustainability are crucial problems to overcome.
Ronel Smith looks at a recent telecentre project in Maputaland, northern
KwaZulu Natal and found that surrounding schools did not benefit from a
telecentre due to the long distances and lack of telephones. also
interesting stuff on telecentres in Senegal....
