That's because I'm not trying to say they did or did
not celebrate the solstices. The limit to my
contribution was a well-established observation made
in countless articles I have read in regards to
whether or not Pagan holidays were adapted into or
from Christian holidays. (I could go through every
Llewellyn series book on my shelf, and the myriad
collections of Pagan and Theological journals I have,
if you would like-- it seems an awful lot of effort
for a rebuttal to a point you in retrospect were not
even trying to make.) Oh, and a small diatribe on
organized religion. This needs no source but my own
cynicism and natural skepticism.

Thanks very much. I am pleasantly surprised to find
that I already have some of these books. The trouble

Really? Are you serious? I'm sorry, again I'm not
trying to be a smartass. It's just that my entire
focus is literary research, critical writing in
particular. I analyze sources for a living. If I did
not know how to evaluate sources, my PhD would be much
