Táim díreach ar ais sa bhaile tar éis cuairt cúig
lá a thabhairt ar Londain chun an New Britain seo
a bhí á fhógairt ag Tony Blair a fheiceáil le mo
shúile féin. Is cosúil go bhfuil sè mórán mar an
gcéanna leis an sean-cheann a raibh taithí agam
air leis na blianta, ach amháin gur foilsíodh
moltaí an rialtais maidir leis an bhfo-pharlaimint
nua atá beartaithe d'Albain le linn dom bheith ann.

Maidir le 'mar atá a fhios agaibh' agus 'mar is eol
daoibh', is dóigh liom go gciallaíonn siad 'as you
know' agus 'as you are aware', ach is baolach nach
cuimhin liom anois cén leagan Gaeilge a fhreagraíonn
do cheachtar den dá leagan Béarla. Caithfear cabhair
an chainteora dúchais a fháil: a bhnf, an bhfuil tú
ag éisteacht in aon chor?
