Postdoctoral Research Associate
Plant/Microbial Physiologist
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research
Service (ARS), Southern Regional Research Center (SRRC), New Orleans, LA, is
accepting applications for a Plant/Microbial Physiology Postdoctoral
position.  The individual will conduct research on the role phosphorus
containing compounds from agricultural runoff have on the development of
Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB).  Determine the effect phytic acid and inositol
phosphates have on these HAB.  A knowledge of phosphorus uptake mechanisms
is desirable.  Ph. D in algal (or plant) physiology or related field
required.  Salary range is $41,834 to $50,139.  Specific questions regarding
